Who are we apart from Christ? Apart from Christ, we are salt without taste. When we neglect to run to the well of life, being Christ, our souls grow thirsty. We become deeply quenched and dry to the bone. In the same way, when we do not pursue Christ, our salt loses its taste. When we are not walking in sanctification, being purified and made holier in sight of God’s image, we are living stagnant lives without taste. We are the very light of Christ, our purpose is to spread His gospel, grow in holiness, and share His love with those we encounter. Let your light shine so abruptly for Jesus that no thing can dim it, not even the darkness itself.
