It’s heartbreaking to think that so many live their lives consumed by regrets, mistakes, fears, insecurities, and hopelessness when their creator has so much more prepared for those who love Him. It’s a story full of freedom and abundance, but it requires that we come to Him and surrender our lives to His perfect plan.

What I love about when we allow Jesus to step in is that He changes everything. When we come to Him, He doesn’t just leave us better than He finds us, but He makes us new. He heals, restores, and redeems. This promise is found in 2 Corinthians 5:17.

It says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

I’m so thankful for the newness I found in Him in my own life. I have seen and experienced redemption first hand. We often complicate what He has made so simple, to receive Him as our Savior. When I allowed Jesus to step into my story and take over, everything changed for the better. I found freedom from the fear I once lived crippled by. The knowledge of His truth destroyed the lies I believed for so long. I came to the realization that He is all that I need, and so I stopped searching for satisfaction in people and things that would only leave me empty and wanting more. I am whole and healed because of Jesus. I have found purpose in telling others the story of what He has done for me in hopes that they will experience His life changing love, too.

There is grace available for every mistake, regret and area of guilt and shame. There is peace for anxious hearts and minds and freedom for those who live crippled by fear. There is hope for the hopeless, rest for the weary and joy for sorrow. There is a life full of purpose for those who feel purposeless and the best part is, nothing and no one is too far gone for Him to turn things around.

When He steps in, the impossible becomes possible and there is no other explanation for it than His goodness. The circumstances and situations we feel would never amount to anything good, when placed in His hands, are molded into a masterpiece that reveals His glory. He longs to give you a new identity as His daughter or son and with it, a new life. He will use what was once broken and make it the very thing that points others to the One who made you new. His hope is that everyone will come to Him. The power of your testimony is one of the greatest gifts you have been given and it’s meant to be shared. The world needs the hope you have, they need to see the evidence of a life transformed.

Turn to Jesus. Surrender your life. Receive the grace He so freely gives and with it, the promise of a new identity in Him. You are not who you once were or what you once did, you are His -

set free, redeemed, and made new for His glory and His name’s sake!

Live confidently in who He has called you to be and what He has called you to do. Tell the story of the way He transformed you. What He has in store will be beyond your wildest dreams and expectations.

The old is gone, the new is HERE!

For deeper study:

-Journal about at least one thing about you that has been made new in Christ (example: being freed from fear and filled with courage)

-Write a summarized version of your testimony as a reminder of His faithfulness to you. Be praying  for an opportunity to share it with someone and/or share it on social media. Use your influence for His glory!

-Ask Him to reveal any area that you ares struggling to live according to your new nature and ask Him for help and for confidence in your new identity.

Remember, His plan for you is freedom and abundance! Your best days are ahead of you, not behind you. 💛

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26
