Devoted- A Love Like Naomi

Naomi was devoted to leading in love. Her footsteps were worthy of being followed because she followed God’s lead herself. She was Ruth’s mother-in-law, but her son (Ruth’s husband) passed away. When He died, Naomi encouraged Ruth to go back home and be remarried, but Ruth refused to leave her. Ruth adored Naomi so much, the Bible says she “clung tightly to her.” They journeyed together through many highs and lows and eventually, Ruth’s story is redeemed along the way with the help of Naomi’s constant encouragement and guidance. This story is found in the book of Ruth and is a picture of God’s redeeming love for us.
