We may be on earth, but God’s word says that we are in the world, but not of it. We are here for His glory. We are here to further the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. We are here to populate Heaven. Live for the everlasting. Keep your hands opened and heart ready to be used by God to introduce people to His love. Hide truth in your heart and be prepared to be a mouthpiece of His goodness and His faithfulness. Use your testimony, your story for His glory. Live for eternal reward, not earthly reward. Earthly things are always fleeting, but our treasure is in Heaven. Fix your heart on Jesus and lean into His truth.

May heavenly things constantly interrupt our earthly things.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2

For Deeper Study:

  • What desires or attachments quietly pull my heart toward the temporary instead of the eternal- and what might God be inviting me to loosen my grip on?

  • Where do I sense God stirring something within me- an opportunity, a conversation, a burden, a nudge- that could carry eternal significance if I say yes?

  • How is God reshaping the way I see the world, and how is He inviting me to align my inner life with things that last forever?
