Prayer changes everything because Christ changes everything. While Christ remains immutable and unchangeable, things around us are constantly changing and shifting according to His perfect will. Take you and me for example, when Christ met us and rescued us from our sin, He changed our hearts. He rewarded us with new hearts, new lives, and revised purpose in Him. In times of hardship, uncertainty, and even in the midst of overwhelming joy, we have the divine opportunity to turn to the Lord in prayer. There is something so incredibly lifegiving that takes place when we enter intimate communion with the Father. Our guards are lowered, our hearts are humbled, we become our most meek and vulnerable self. It is in the prayer room where we can be the truest, unmasked versions of ourselves before the Lord. Out of His kindness He listens, giving us His full attention. rewarding us in a space of protected communion with His child.

“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:6
